Welcome to A.P.P.L.E.

                 You are invited to join us on our journey to raise literacy levels in America through the APPLE literacy programs.  We want to group together  with other youth and spread the passion of reading and see APPLE branches everywhere! "Adopt a Box," which is Take A Book – Leave a Book, works and it is a lot of fun!  Plus, we do many other things, too.   Take a look at what we do to raise literacy levels in New Mexico and hopeflly the country!

A.P.P.L.E. is an acronym, which is A Plan to Promote Literacy Everywhere.

This literacy foundation was started by us, Serina Lee and Marissa, high school students. We live in rural New Mexico and have a vision to address the low literacy levels in our community, state, and country. We want to improve the level of reading in youth. 

 

A.P.P.L.E. has two primary focuses:

    1)  Teen Literacy

    2)  Children 12 and Under Literacy

 

A.P.P.L.E. consists of several programs to improve literacy and encourage reading    

    1)  "Take a Book - Leave a Book" for Teens and Elementary Age Children     

    2)  Teen Reading and Writing Clubs

    3)  Children Reading and Literacy Program -- CLIMB Program
